My name is Wanda Hazel. I am 52 years old. I have lived most of my life trying to fit in and never quite making it. The Lord has been giving me experiences in times when my heart was hurting the most. But, I still kept on trying to be what others needed me to be.
My life changed three years ago when I was led to pray to God for my answers. I wanted peace in my soul and the Lord sent a saint to help lead me to Him and His family. Praise God!
I was praying and asking the Lord to help me find the words to tell people how much my life has changed and He brought back a memory of my childhood when I was seven years old. My family and I lived in a house with a big front yard. There were always stray dogs wandering in the yard looking for food and a place to lie down. Usually a grown-up would run them out of the yard. But, one day I was out in the yard when a dog came walking in real slow. Its head was down and it did not get too far before it lay down. I walked over to him and saw that his poor body was bleeding and raw. His face was also bleeding.
I went in the house to get some water and my dad came out to see what I was doing. I thought he would make that dog get up and leave our yard, but instead he bent down and looked at it. My dad said that the dog had the mange real bad but he thought the dog could make it if we doctored it up.
We got an old sheet and picked that old sick dog up and carried it to the shed. My dad took coal oil and rubbed it all over the dog and brought it some food and water. Every day we fed and watered the dog. My dad kept rubbing that coal oil on the dog's torn up body until it got well.
Oh Lord, that is the way I was when I was searching for the truth! My sins and my guilt were like the mange. I was tired from searching everywhere and not finding peace in my soul. I was hungry for the word of God and the baptism of the holy Ghost.
I praise God for His mercy and His love. I praise Him for the saints and their love of God and for His people. I praise Him for pastor John whom God has anointed to teach us the truth and how to praise and worship Jesus our Savior.
Jesus cleansed me and blessed me and I am forever His! Praise God!
